Collecting Personal Information
Alpena collects customer personal information that we require to process, package, distribute, and/or complete your purchase through the Website, and to provide any and all reasonably related services. Personal information which Alpena collects includes your name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card information. In addition, Alpena™'s web server will automatically gather information about your visit to our Website (which may not be personal information), including your browser type, what pages have been viewed, the time of visit, etc. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.
Alpena may contact you by phone or email regarding an order placed by you, or to provide you with information or services that you have requested from Alpena. Our Security Practices
Transactions conducted through the Website are administered and processed via PayPal's secure third party connections. This includes the transfer and receipt of your personal information. In addition, when a secure transmission needs to be made when sensitive information is being transmitted, Alpena uses SSL Encryption to ensure your credit card information is secure.
We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Personal information collected by Alpena may be transferred across provincial, state and/or international borders and stored in jurisdictions outside of your home jurisdiction. These receiving jurisdictions may be subject to different standards of privacy protection than apply in your home jurisdiction.
